The Kutenai Art Therapy Institute is dedicated to the belief that the creative process is healing and life enhancing. We offer a post-baccalaureate training program in Art Therapy, which integrates Art Therapy theory, practice, and research. The Institute also offers Art Therapy groups as a community service and supports professional and community education in the Kootenays via Art Therapy conferences and workshops. The primary purpose of the Institute is to offer a post-baccalaureate, two-year diploma program in Art Therapy that considers the needs of rural communities and focuses on training culturally sensitive and responsive art therapists. The Kutenai Art Therapy Institute follows the educational and ethical guidelines of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and the British Columbia Art Therapy Association. |
